KIERCE BEATS TOP FLIGHT LINEUP
AT VENTURA |
VENTURA, Calif. (June 28, 2009) --
Kevin Kierce is the defending Sprint
Car champion at Ventura Raceway and
he held off a tremendous group of
challengers Saturday to win his
second race of the 2009 season at
the Raceway.
Kierce (Reseda) beat Cory Kruseman
(Ventura) and Josh Ford (Camarillo)
in a star-studded main event. Tyler
Edwards (Ventura) and Steve Conrad
(Quartz Hill) completed the top
five. Kierce led every lap of the
30-lap event.
The
win pushed Kierce's lead in the
championship standings to 790
points, an impressive margin.
The
other winners at Ventura included

in IMCA Modifieds, Ray Estrada
(Yucaipa) in Pro Dwarf Cars, Bill
